The Osprey Poco™ Child Carrier Range
The Poco™ series is our dedicated child backpack carriers collection, designed to support active families from the newborn stage through to toddler adventures. The range includes ergonomic soft carriers for everyday carrying from birth, and fully featured framed child carriers for family hiking, travel and outdoor exploration once your child can support their own head.
The Poco™ family includes two distinct carrier types:
- Poco™ Soft Child Carriers - ergonomic soft-structured carriers designed for use from birth, offering multiple carry positions as your child grows.

The range is complemented by Poco™ changing packs and accessories, including changing bags, changing pads, raincovers and travel cases, helping parents stay organised wherever the day leads.

Osprey Poco™ Child Carrier FAQs
The Osprey Poco™ Soft Child Carriers are suitable from birth. Three carry positions, facing in, facing out and back carry, are designed to accommodate your child’s growth from newborn through to toddler. The Poco™ framed carriers (Poco, Poco LT, Poco SLT, Poco Premium) are designed for children who can support their own head, typically from around 9 months. Always follow the manufacturer’s weight and age guidelines.
Both the Poco™ and Poco™ Premium feature AirSpeed™ suspension, the Double Halo harness, adjustable torso length and a framed and padded child cockpit. The Poco™ Premium adds a machine-washable and removable padded cockpit, a Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt for easier on-trail adjustment, larger 36L storage (vs 24L), and includes both a raincover and sunshade as standard. The Poco Premium is the better choice for frequent hikers, while the Poco is a strong all-rounder for regular active family use.
The Poco™ Premium includes a raincover and sunshade as standard. The Poco™ includes a built-in UPF 50 sunshade, and a separate Poco™ Raincover accessory is available. The Poco™ LT and SLT are compatible with the Poco Raincover accessory. Make sure you confirm compatibility before purchasing.
Poco child carriers and accessories are covered by a 7-year guarantee, a specific version of Osprey’s All Mighty Guarantee™. We will repair any damage or defect free of charge for seven years from the date of manufacture. If a functional repair is not possible, we will replace the product.
Unfortunately, the Poco Plus has been discontinued from the current range. The closest equivalent in the current lineup is the Poco™ Premium, which includes all the features of the former Poco Plus and more, including a machine-washable padded cockpit, Fit-on-the-Fly hipbelt and 36L storage. If you have questions about upgrading or compatibility with accessories, please contact Osprey UK directly.
